Uncle Jays fundraiser

Hello everyone. This fundraiser is for my Uncle Jay. Jay has been in the military or law enforcement for basically his entire life. Most of Jays' story isn't to out of the ordinary until you get to 2005. While serving as chief of police in a small Georgia town, Jay was involved in a shootout. He was shot in the face during the shootout. The damage from the bullet affected his hearing and balance. After recovering from the shooting, Jay resumed working but he was never 100%. With his balance not being right, Jay suffered several falls, which affected his neck and back. Jay had to medically retire in 2016 due to debilitating pain and poor balance. Jay now uses a mobility chair for 100% of his moving around due to the injuries from all the falls and other issues after being shot. Jay receives some sort of disability and medicare, but as some of you may know its just not enough. His new mobility scooter that's less than a year old already needs parts and the parts are not covered under warranty. On top of that his water heater went out and now he and his wife are scrambling to find the funds to have a new water heater put in, pay for wheelchair parts, and just generally get by month to month. It pains me to see such a great man get pushed to the corner and be forgotten about by a system that is supposed to be there for him. Any funds raised will go towards any needs Jay and his wife need for medical needs, wheelchair parts, housing maintenance ect.
