Arts professionals need our help and The Actors Fund assists those in need in film, television and the performing arts. The need, now, is dire.

As you may have seen, The Broadway League announced their continued shutdown through at least May 31, 2021. This means tens of thousands of people continue to be out of work – from actors and musicians to ushers and dressers, box office attendants and stage managers, press agents to spotlight operators and so many more, not to mention all those in the theatre district who rely on theatre for their own businesses (restaurants, shops, taxis, parking garages, even the venerable NYC hot dog cart).

When the pandemic hit, I decided to personally help keep theatre going virtually by teaching some of your children about musicals. It brought me such joy and the initiative has raised over $15,000 for The Actors Fund! It is time to start raising funds again.

More information about The Actors Fund: Thanks to your support, The Actors Fund is there for everyone in our performing arts and entertainment community with emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, health insurance counseling, supplemental employment, addiction and recovery services and so much more. The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.
