“When you come from a life of struggle and abuse, getting a second chance is everything.”
– Debbie Pearl
Unconditional
a feature documentary
Debbie Pearl rescues disabled dogs, dogs that have been victims of human abuse. They are the Unstoppable Dogs.
Unconditional is a feature length documentary that we are endeavoring to make about Debbie and her Unstoppable Dogs. This is a celebration of their continuing journey, the unconditional love that they spread, and the unending joyful impact they have on their human counterparts.
Our cameras will capture, the challenges, obstacles, successes, and failures as Debbie attempts to open and outfit a sanctuary where she will adopt and care for more handicapped dogs - The Unstoppable Ranch.
Sadly, animal abuse runs rampant in our country and unchecked in many parts of the world. Animals lose limbs, suffer spinal cord injuries, and much worse. Our film will show the good that remains in these animal’s hearts despite this terrible mistreatment and what we can all do to help reduce and even prevent these unspeakable abuses.
Domestically, we explore the Chandler 55, a horror story of a dog rescue owner in Chandler Arizona that took in special needs dogs only to abuse them herself.
Our crews will visit India and Egypt where two abused and disabled dogs will be adopted by Debbie. We examine on film the rescuers and shelters in these developing countries and the work being done to stop these atrocities. Ultimately, we bring our dogs to America to join Debbie’s sanctuary.
People with disabilities have been given hope, joy, and inspiration from Debbie’s Unstoppable Dogs. We will visit some of these people, share the magic of their visits with our hero dogs, and learn what it means to both the people and the dogs.
We’ll examine the similarities to our dog’s lives and understand that these people and dogs are not broken, they are living their best lives.
Making a documentary with the scope that we intend requires significant resources.
Equipment, travel, post-production, professional services, and the well-being and safety of our crew and the dogs that we are featuring are just a few of the costs that we face.
That’s where you come in. Your donations will help us meet these challenges and begin to bring our documentary to life. The more funds that we raise, the wider our scope, the more marketing we can do, and the larger our reach can be to widen our audience who, together, can make a change in the animal welfare world!
Join us by donating to this heartfelt, beautiful, and celebratory journey that could change the lives of countless people and animals alike.
Please share this with your friends, colleagues, social networks, or wherever you can. The more people aware, the better chance we have at making this dream a reality!
Thank you!
