Give the Gift of History on Giving Tuesday!
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to be a part of something extraordinary. Join us in preserving the untold stories, honoring resilience, and amplifying the voices of those whose history has been abused.
At Research BIPOC History, we're dedicated to unearthing the past and rewriting narratives. Our mission goes beyond facts and figures; it's about celebrating historically marginalized communities' strength, dignity, and contributions.
Your support can help us continue this vital work. By donating, you're not just giving, you're investing in a brighter, more inclusive future where every story is heard, every voice matters.
Let's come together this Giving Tuesday to empower the truth-seekers, and the change-makers. Together, we can make history and rewrite the future.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!

Research BIPOC History
We are a group of local volunteers who are excited to share with you our important work in identifying as many of the enslaved population of Bristol, Rhode Island as possible. This project holds immense significance, as it sheds light on a crucial aspect of our history. You can see the full scope of the project at RESEARCHBIPOCHISTORY.ORG
Our journey began with a deep commitment to uncovering and acknowledging the lives of those who were enslaved in our community. We have made remarkable progress, but there is still much to be done. By supporting this project, you play an active role in making this vital work happen.
Enslavement did not erase people. Even meager facts can help outline a life, one often filled with adversity, but also perseverance. Our goal is not to write those life stories but to provide a data source to others who are qualified to interpret and then share these very complex and nuanced stories.
By making this information public, free, and shareable, The Research BIPOC History Project wants to empower descendants to locate their ancestors, research their history, and tell their stories. We also hope to provide reference material for historians to review and analyze. And, we especially hope the information will be used as a starting point for more detailed investigations on the lives of these remarkable individuals.
