Undergo Weight Loss Surgery

Hi everyone

Those who have known me for a long time know that I have struggled to control my weight, indeed I have not been able to control it. During my life, I have suffered discrimination in my work life, and have been bullied and forced onto diets by well-meaning people, who don't realise the long-lasting hurt they have caused me.

I have now made probably one of the biggest decisions I will make in my life. I have booked to undergo an operation to give me a gastric sleeve. I fly to Izmir, Turkey on the 14th of March, 2023 and will have my operation the following day.

To say I am nervous is an understatement. I have told only a few people this news but those who I have told have been very supportive. It was suggested by one person to seek help via Go Fund Me, as I don't have the savings to pay for it, and would find any help towards this a great support. I am looking forward to the time I can walk into a high-street shop and buy clothes that I like. I have never known what this feels like. Thank you for your support.
