Hey there , I am Stella from Uganda !

I am the founder of Innovations On Wheels and we are on a mission to provide rural women with a community resourceful safe space for workshops , fun learning , equal employment opportunities ,a beauty spot for gossip and skills trainings - A resourceful haven for learning !

HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL BE PUT TO USE

With the available piece of land already available , we intend to construct a permanent structure fully equipped with a resources for learning while having fun at all times of the day without worrying about rain or a lot of sunshine .

Our current temporary structure does not favour the changing whether conditions during workshop /trainings and hence we usually break off as soon as it starts to rain or if the sunshine becomes to much yet most of our participants have children with them during trainings /skilling.

2. Together with the community , we are creating a community Agro forest fully equipped with indigenous tree species and a indigenous seedlings .

Why ?

Women in Uganda, have limited income opportunities compared with men , they are also less likely to work for income or actively seek work due to various reasons yet many of these women have families to provide for , children to pay school fees for and yet are faced with difficult financial circumstances that puts them at an economic disadvantage. This is why we equip them with the necessary training and tools they need to enter these career sectors. Those who have been unemployed before and yet have children or family to support or take care of can resonate .

Our intention is to equip and accelerate single mothers , teenaged mothers ,school drop outs , stay at home mothers and unemployed women in rural Mpigi into employment to increase income for themselves , be able to make financial decisions in their families , make sound decisions for themselves and for their communities .

OUR IMPACT SO FAR

1. Through donations , we secured a piece of land up the hill with a beautiful view registered in our organization name .

2. We work with 350 rural women and girls every year since 2021 and we empower and equips them with different skills that can enable them to create or get employment .

We intend to continue accelerating women and girls into employment, but to do this effectively we need assistance from you.
