Unexpected death of Andrew Grant
Hi, my name is Judy. I am organizing this go fund me on behalf of Drew's wife, Gianna, and daughter, Destiny. Both Gianna and Destiny are disabled, so donations will go towards helping them pay for rent, food, and utilities.
The sudden death of Drew Grant has left not only his family, friends, and customers shocked and very saddened, but his wife and daughter are emotionally devastated. He was the sole financial supporter and caregiver to both Gianna and Destiny. He was their world. Given that Drew was their main source of income, Gianna and Destiny's current living situation is in jeopardy, and your donations will go towards ensuring they do not become homeless in the foreseeable future.
For the last 9 to 10 months, Drew had been experiencing short episodes of chest pain, but he brushed it off as indigestion or angina. He told his wife he would get checked out by a doctor as soon as things slowed down at his automotive shop, but continued to work long hours and neglect prioritizing his own health.
On Wednesday, July 14th, Drew's father passed away.
Saturday, July 17th, Drew was working at his shop when he started having chest pains again. The duration of the chest pain was longer and Gianna insisted he needed to go to Emergency Room. He reluctantly agreed; but it was too late, and he passed away at the hospital from a heart attack. Andrew "Drew" Grant was 49 years old.
Drew was a loving and supportive husband and father. He and Gianna were married for 30 years and raised their disabled daughter, Destiny, together. Over the years, Gianna has had serious health issues that have required major surgeries and treatments, extended hospital stays, and doctors' visits. Drew took his wife to these appointments and stayed by her side so she never had to go through anything alone.
He was a great mechanic that had an incredible knowledge base for just about any car. He could fix almost anything with a motor! He was a thorough and extremely hard worker who guaranteed his work, and undercharged his customers. Drew was known for putting others before himself, as his sudden death is representative of how he was always working to make others happy at the expense of his own well-being.
For all of you who knew Drew, you knew a kind and genuine man who did a lot for many people. His family is left behind heart-broken and overwhelmed with the stress of losing two important family members in a very short period of time.
Please keep the Grant family in your prayers.
Thank you to everyone who supports this family. It means so, so much. Thank you.
Thank you for your help!
