Unexpected death of my brother - Dipesh Lakhwani

My name is Nitesh Lakhwani, I am starting a fundraiser to help cover the last rites expenses and support the family of my brother Dipesh Mohan Lakhwani's sudden and unexpected death in Austin, Texas on Sept 17th, 2022 at around 2:00 PM today. My brother is extremely kind, humble, and friendly person. He is survived by his wife (Soniya Lakhwani) and son Kuldeep (9 year).

I live with my family (wife and 2 small children in Austin, Texas. My brother with his family came to visit us 3 months ago. Today (Sept 17th, 2022), all of us decided to go to Crockett Falls, Georgetown for a day trip. We started playing in the water and did not see any warning sign around to not to play in the water. At around 1:48 PM, there was a sudden surge of wave which pulled all of us with the current. For a few seconds we all were drowning in the water and were struggling to come out to the shore. After few mins of struggle, local park visitors helped my wife, my kids, my sister-in-law, and her son to come out of the water. But we could not find my brother anywhere.

We immediately called emergency number (911) and asked for help. They reached the location and searched for 2 hours. The rescuers used the radar to search the body and finally found the body 20 feet deep in water. The paramedics immediately started CPR, they tried their best to rescue the life of my brother, with deep regret paramedics declared that Dipesh is no more. All this incident happened in less than 2 hours.

The entire family is devastated with the loss of our beloved Dipesh, especially his wife and son are in shock, unable to come to terms with the sudden loss. We humbly request you to help us in covering the expenses of the last rites and help the family’s future since my sister-in-law is a homemaker and my brother is the only breadwinner of the family. Any contribution would immensely help them in this devasting crisis of life.
