Unexpected death expenses for Zach
Donation protected
For all that knew our Zachary he was full of life, he lit up the room when he entered. He had a contagious smile. He loved his Clemson University, Texas Roadhouse and anything Vikings mythology. Zach was first diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma two weeks before his 21st birthday right when he moved up to Clemson in 2017. He had a hard battle with chemo and radiation. He swore he was going to beat it, get to Clemson University, graduate and fulfill his dreams. He DID beat cancer, got accepted to college lived and loved every moment there. Zachary was a full fledge Clemson fan his entire apartment was filled with his memorabilia, he graduated with honors last May 2022 with a dual degree in Agriculture. He accepted a position with Avaigen in Valdosta Georgia as assistant manager of the hatchery. His life was where he wanted it to be, his future was right in his hands then last month he went for his routine PET scan which showed cancer had come back with a vengeance, he had it in his chest, part of his lungs and was deteriorating part of his sternum. We quickly got him into Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida to get treatment from the best oncologists in the country. His outlook was supposed to look good with 6-8 rounds of chemo. He had his first chemo on March 31st and continued to go to work until he couldn't work anymore on April 9th we got him back to Mayo with complications of his stomach hurting. He would end up in PICU within 12 hours and then be moved to ICU the next day. He was put on life support, dialysis, plasmapheresis, almost 20 iv drugs, and ports placed all over his body they tried everything they could think of to find out why this was happening to Zach and why it wasn't working. The last thing Zach said to me before being intubated was he just wanted to go home. I never imagined in my life I would be sending my son to the heavenly home. Zach passed away last Saturday, April 15th, 2023. I am requesting help in paying for funeral expenses and expenses incurred getting his home packed up and moving back to South Carolina.
