Unexpected loss of mother in hit and run

Hi my name is Kristy, I’m here with my sisters Danielle and Amber and our brother Dustin. We are here to ask for help with the unexpected cost to lay our mother Lisa Michelle Rowe to rest. Our beautiful mother came down from Nebraska to have a long awaited visit with her kids and grandchildren. She saved up her money, bought a plane ticket and took 3 flights to get here. She landed here on the night of October 31 around 9 pm. My sister Danielle and her daughter picked her up and brought her to her hotel that she was going to stay at for the week! Our mom insisted on staying at a hotel so she could have her own home base where everyone could come and join her for our big get together planned for the following morning. Unfortunately, as all of us gathered at the hotel our mom was no where to be found, her clothes were in her hotel room but she was not, her phone was going right to voicemail and texts were being unanswered. Concerned, we all start calling friends, the hospitals and lastly the cops all in the hopes that she really just went for a walk and her phone was broke. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was asked how old our mom is because there was a news story of a 53 year old women killed by a hit and run…… my heart dropped! Still in disbelief I asked where this happened and that’s when I knew it was true. It was the street right where the hotel was. Sometime in the middle of that night our mom had gotten up from bed taken her pajamas off left them in a heap on her bed and walked across the street of her hotel to the gas station and on her way back to the hotel on hwy29 right across the street from her hotel she made her way halfway across before a truck struck her and left her for dead as he/she raced away! Thank goodness another passerby made the decision to stop and be there with my mom and held her hand and kept her safe from being hit again and he made sure she did not die alone! He wanted to chase the bad guy and make him stop but he just couldn’t leave her side and my family and I are eternally grateful for the kindness of this man and making sure our mama didn’t take her last breath alone!
