Unfinished Business: Help Alex Sinclair this season!
Donation protected
Road racing is about more than just speed, it’s about passion, resilience, and the will to fight against all odds. Few riders understand this better than Alex Sinclair. The Welsh road racer has spent years carving out his legacy, battling against both fierce competition and personal adversity. But 2024 threw him into a fight he never expected, a fight to clear his name, protect his reputation, and ultimately, reclaim his career.
From Triumph to Turmoil
The 2024 season started as a dream year for Alex. At Aberdare Park Road Races, he delivered a stunning performance, taking multiple race wins and proving once again why he’s one of Wales’ most exciting road racers. But just weeks later, that dream turned into a nightmare at the Manx Grand Prix.
During routine drug testing, Alex was informed that his sample had returned a “non-negative” result for THC (cannabis). What followed was a whirlwind of confusion, disbelief, and devastation. Without a right to immediate appeal, he was excluded from the event, publicly named in a press release, and ultimately handed a two-year ban from racing.
With everything he had worked for suddenly taken away, Alex was forced into the fight of his life, not on the track, but in the battle to clear his name.
Proving His Innocence
Determined to get justice, Alex underwent extensive independent drug testing, including blood, urine, and hair follicle analysis. Every test came back clear. Despite the overwhelming evidence in his favour, the appeals process was long, emotionally exhausting, and financially draining.
Months later, after relentless persistence, Alex’s racing ban was overturned, and he was officially reinstated. But while his name was cleared, the damage had already been done. Lost opportunities, lost sponsors, and the mental toll of the ordeal left Alex at a crossroads in his career.
Unfinished Business in 2025
Now, Alex is ready to get back on track. He has unfinished business at Aberdare Park Road Races and the Manx Grand Prix—events that have defined his career and where he wants to write the next chapter of his journey.
But racing at the highest level requires support. After losing crucial sponsorships during his suspension, Alex now needs backing to return to the sport he loves. Every contribution, big or small, will help cover race entries, travel costs, bike preparation, and the essential resources needed to compete.
How You Can Help
This GoFundMe has been set up to give Alex the chance to fight back, to prove that he belongs on the grid and that his story isn’t over. Your support will help him to cover essential bike and race prep costs, fund travel, equipment, and support to ensure the Manx Grand Prix can be as successful.
Be Part of Alex’s Comeback Story
Alex has faced challenges that would have ended most careers—but he refuses to let this define him. He’s not done yet. With your help, he can get back on the bike, back in the paddock, and back where he belongs—on the roads, chasing victory.
Every donation, share, and message of support means the world. Let’s help Alex finish what he started. #UnfinishedBusiness
