Unforeseen Medical Expense Help

Hello, my name Jeff Simmons and I am a family friend of a Middle School student athlete. I am creating this GoFundMe account for their son Coreyon (age 13) . On Tuesday 09/12, while playing Football, Coreyon incurred a concussion. Soon after he suffered a stroke, which doctors say was caused by a blood clot in his brain. He underwent surgery Wednesday (09/13) to remove the clot and is presently in a medically induced coma. More procedures to come to determine the extent of his injuries.

As you can imagine the medical expenses associated with this type of care is piling up. His parents are unable to work presently due to his current condition and could really use any assistance they can get. Thank You for your consideration with any help you can offer! Our goal is $10,000.

Update 09/19. Coreyon is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. As feared, the stroke has left him extremely weak on the left side of his body, and he is unable to speak. He's begun therapy to improve motor skills. Doctors warn that it may take months, even years to recover.
