Unfortunate tragic motorcycle accident

As most of you know my name is Dennis. 9 days before Christmas, on December 16th, I was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident where another motorist hit me from my left side forcing me into a metal telephone pole. I then flew into the side of a building sustaining critical injuries. I had multiple open (compound) fractures. I broke both of my legs. Shattered both knees. Broke my femur. Shattered the right side of my hip and pelvis. I broke 6 ribs. Broke both of my arms and punctured a lung. Blood and air filled my chest. I’ve undergone countless surgeries and may need one more on my right leg. This is going to be a long road to recovery for me. After a lengthy hospital stay, I will be going to a nursing home until the restrictions for weight-bearing on my right leg and my arms are lifted. From the nursing home, I will be going to an inpatient rehab facility where I’ll undergo intensive physical therapy to learn how to walk again and improve my motor control skills. As of right now, I still don’t have feeling in my right foot, so I don’t know if I will need a wheelchair, a walker, or a cane. It’s still too early to tell, but I’m determined to get back to how I once was. This completely blindsided me. Never in a million years did I think someone would hit me and then leave me there without calling for help. On top of bystanders jumping over me, filming it all. This whole ordeal has been extremely traumatic for me and my family. With me being the sole provider of our household, any help for us is greatly appreciated. The love and support alone has been incredible. I just want to be able to get through this recovery and get back to my family and friends. Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
