Hola

Hello
I will summarize a little about my short life.
I was born on October 18, 2017, I weighed 7lbs and measured 55 cm. I cried at birth, had no problems and my mom had a healthy delivery but, as the days passed, my parents noticed that my color was somewhat abnormal. They took me to many screening tests and the nurses said that I was a little yellow but that with sunbathing it would eventually go away. Sadly, it was not like that as the days went by my color became stronger and stronger. My parents had already told the doctor and nurses that they felt this was not normal and they proceeded to take me to pediatric doctors. As soon as they were told I was only a few days old they performed tests on my stool. They didn't tell us what it was, but I had to be treated immediately and the closest date was on December 28th. I was sent by ambulance to Hermosillo, Sonora where they then carried out a study called COLANGIORESONANCIA and that's where it was officially or rather they confirmed that I had a disease called
BILE DUCTS ATRESIA
In Hermosillo unfortunately they told us that they could not treat me because they didn’t have the means to treat my problem and it had to be started immediately because I needed an emergency surgery called KASAI. This surgery was meant only to gain time so that I could grow a bit bigger, gain more weight and be capable of receiving my liver transplant with no further complications. I was only given 90 days of time NO MORE!! My dad, in his despair to find someone to perform surgery on me, found my surgeon Joel Cazares and they managed to operate on me when I was 82 days old. I had surgery in the city of Monterrey where I was hospitalized and monitored for a period of 3 month. Thank God and to all our prayers I came out well in my tests, my bilirubin level reached a total of 11 when I first arrived to the hospital and at the time of discharge I came out with a total of 1 (super good)!
But sadly, I have had several, a bit too many cholangitis relapses, they are approximately 17 and there I am hospitalized once more. The shortest I have been hospitalized is 10 days or even up to three months Nogales, Agua Prieta, Obregón, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Guadalajara, the Doctors tell us that the more relapses I have, the more my liver will be damaged. This is why the closer I get to my liver transplant is so important because I run the risk that the hospital might not be able to admit me in or not even be able to continue on with my transplant. Through the public sector we realize it is something very difficult for them to want to treat me or to perform my transplant, because Thank God I am stable and I DO NOT APPEAR to have this disease but the reality is way different and by private means it is a cost of
THREE MILLION PESOS. An amount too big and almost impossible for us solely as a family to be able to raise.
We hope that we can count on your help to raise this amount. A penny to any amount you wish will be making a difference and we will forever be grateful for your kindness and great deed to help me live a longer and healthy life.
Thank you
