Union Square Donuts: Staff Emergency Fund
Donation protected
Dear Donut Nation,
Since we opened our doors for business, we have been a place in the neighborhood where people can come - in good weather and bad, in times of celebration and those of sadness - and the constant is that we always have delicious donuts and coffee. But with the spread of the coronavirus, the health and safety of our team and guests has to be our number one priority. With this in mind, on Wednesday, March 18th, I made the extremely difficult decision to temporarily close all Union Square Donuts locations
The outpouring of support from you, our community, inquiring about how you could help and where you could donate money to our team has been incredibly powerful. We're humbled by our thoughtful donut loving friends. While we are taking everything day-by-day, as each day passes, my concern for our team grows.
Through this GoFundMe campaign, 100% of all money raised will be going to support our staff during this very trying time. Over the last week we have assisted our team in signing up for unemployment benefits. However, unemployment does not cover close to 100% of their wages, so these donations will have a direct and immediate impact.
When we started Union Square Donuts seven years ago, I never dreamed that we would grow into the business we have become. Now, with all of the support from our community, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. You have made us feel so much bigger than a donut shop! Thank you for being such amazing neighbors and helping us raise money for our staff fund. #SmallBusinessRelief
Thank you,
Josh Danoff - Union Square Donuts
