Unite for Sash

Hi, my name is Shawn Allwood. I'm the older brother of the late Sashya Allwood.

On Wednesday, September 28th Sashya was found dead in her home in Ludowici, Georgia, after sustaining a gunshot wound and being set ablaze. Long County detectives suspect Sashya's husband killed her before taking his own life. Sashya was a loving mother of two young children, aged seven and four, a Photographer, the glue that held our entire family together and the most beautiful soul you'd ever meet. Sashya's younger child has been left without surviving parents as both mother and father are deceased. My family and I have fought and successfully gained immediate custody of Sashya's younger child to avoid social work involvement and the foster care system. The battle my family is facing has only just begun as we now navigate life without Sashya, plan her memorial service and assume custody of her children.

Unfortunately, the life insurance policy held by Sashya's husband only afforded 1% of the total policy coverage to be issued to the children upon his death, leaving little to no financial support. As we are still amid a very costly and complicated legal proceeding, we are hoping to raise funds to cover legal expenses loaned on an urgent basis for the immediate legal intervention that was required.
