Unite for the Amazon: Help Prince Haru's Birthday Initiative

Donation protected
November 9th marks the birthday of Prince Haru Kuntanawa, and in honor of his special day, we are launching this important initiative. This project is part of the Transform and Illuminate movement, created by Haru Kuntanawa to inspire action for environmental preservation and indigenous rights. His greatest gift would be your support in making this event possible, helping to awaken the people of the forest to the climate emergency in the Amazon and Cerrado regions.

In December 2024, the Kuntanawa men’s and women’s soccer teams will come together with the indigenous team from Brasília to unite the Cerrado and Amazon biomes. This important event will be held in the city of Cruzeiro do Sul on December 15th. It’s more than just a soccermatch, it’s a powerful moment to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect the Amazon and Cerrado, two of the world’s most vital ecosystems, which are currently being devastated by fires and illegal deforestation.
Our athletes, the guardians of the forest, will travel from their remote villages to the city to participate in this historic event. We need your support to make their journey possible.
Why This Matters: The Kuntanawa athletes are not only skilled athletes—they are stewards of the land and champions of environmental preservation. Through their participation in this soccer event, we aim to highlight the connection between indigenous knowledge, climate action, and the preservation of our planet’s most crucial biomes. By supporting this trip, you are helping amplify their voices in the global conversation on climate change and indigenous rights.
This event is part of a larger movement to promote sustainability and indigenous-led environmental solutions. The Kuntanawa athletes will also be part of our Copa das Árvores, which aims to plant 1 million trees by 2030, with the involvement of 800 young people from 16 indigenous nations, 3 extractive reserves, and a national park. These efforts will directly contribute to the preservation of the Amazon rainforest and Cerrado, ensuring the protection of these territories for future generations.
Our Goal: To make this vision a reality, we are raising $12,000 to cover the travel, accommodation, athletic gear, and food expenses for the athletes who are guardians of the forest. Your donation will ensure that these incredible individuals can make the journey from their villages to Cruzeiro do Sul , where they will meet with other indigenous teams and share their message of hope and unity for the environment.
How Your Donation Will Help:
Travel Costs: Flights, transportation to and from the event.
Accommodation: Hotel expenses for the athletes during their stay.
Athletic Gear: Uniforms, footwear, and other necessary sports equipment to ensure the athletes are prepared for the event and represent their communities with pride.
Food & Supplies: Meals and essential provisions to ensure the athletes are well-cared for during their time in the city.

The Bigger Picture: This event is just the beginning of a much larger effort. In 2025, we will launch the Copa das Árvores Campaign, bringing together hundreds of indigenous youth to plant trees and protect their lands. Through uniting soccer & climate activism, we aim to reconnect the youth of the forest with the knowledge and wisdom of their ancestors. We will teach them about the importance of the forest and the critical role each species plays in maintaining biodiversity and sustaining humanity. This initiative will rekindle a deep respect for the natural world and help ensure that future generations take up the mantle of protecting the environment.
Through this initiative, we will unite people across the globe to take action against the climate crisis and support indigenous communities in their fight for the preservation of the Amazon and Cerrado.
By supporting this campaign, you're not only helping these athletes participate in an important event, but you're also contributing to a movement that will impact generations to come.

Additionally, the donor who contributes the most over the 5-week campaign period will receive a complimentary spot to attend a healing retreat in the United States with Prince Haru and Dr. Hayra Kuntanawa. This retreat offers a unique opportunity for personal healing, cultural immersion, and connection with the wisdom of the Kuntanawa people.

Let’s give these guardians of the forest the opportunity to take their message to the world. Your support is crucial for the healthy future of our planet.

Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your contribution!

Campaign Timeline: This campaign will run from November 9th to December 9th. Every dollar raised during this period will directly fund the athletes’ travel and logistical needs. Additional funds raised over the $12,000 mark go towards the Copa das Árvores campaign, helping to repopulate the forest with native species and provide a sustainable economy for the impoverished nations living there.
