United Way of Missoula Cnty: Warm for the Holidays
Donation protected
United Way of Missoula County is proud to support our friends at the Salvation Army, who are working to provide a temporary winter warming center this season for our most vulnerable homeless neighbors. Please share the warmth of the holiday season by helping us raise $10,000 to make sure that folks do not suffer, or risk dying, on our cold streets this winter.
The estimated cost of staffing and operating the center from December till the end of March is $50,000; already, a number of local businesses and individuals – including United Way – have stepped up to help. United Way of Missoula County, and this Go Fund Me campaign, will go toward supporting this critical safety net for our community: the winter warming center at the Salvation Army. Without the temporary warming center, several of our most vulnerable neighbors will not a have a place inside on the cold winter nights to come.
But we need to do more. A gift of any amount will support this temporary center while our community continues to work, through Reaching Home: Missoula’s 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness, on appropriate permanent housing solutions.
Thank you for giving the gift of warmth this holiday season.
