Help unite veteran with daughter
Donation protected
This isn't easy for me to do. I am someone that has always given and have always been there for the people in my life. My daughter was born November 1, 2010. I was lucky enough to be able to be there for her birth in Hilo, Hawaii. However, when I was there while I was sleep the birth papers were filled out
and my babygirl was given my wife's maiden name even though at the time her last name legally was still Scales. When I called the hospital and had them put the filing of the name on hold, my wife at the time was so upset that she asked me to leave. When I went to hold my daughter my mother in-law had her in a bedroom with the door locked. I knocked on the door and said I would like to hold my child to which she responded " no, I don't think that is a good Idea". As you can imagine this was upsetting , but instead of make a scene I left the home. Knowing that if the police were called I would most likely be taken as the aggressor seeing as there were only women in the house. I knew no one in Hilo and leaving peacefully seemed the best course of action. That day was 4 years ago. I kissed my baby girl goodbye and told her that I would see her again..I promised her this and not a day goes by that I do not wake up and push forward. My situation is dire and to be honest I cannot do this alone. My family is not in the position to help me and I have no where else to turn. I am asking for your help. If you know of anyone that could represent me in Hawaii, that would be willing to advise me and walk me through custody and support issues. I would be grateful. If you find it in your heart and are able to help financially I will be indebted. I am a father, I am a veteran, I seek no recognition for any of my past actions on behalf of my country . I only ask for you,my countrymen and women to find it in your hearts to give me a fighting chance. Help re-unite me with my child.
Thank you
