Help Unity Cheer go to Nationals

Tatiana Melani is a teacher and cheerleading coach at Unity Prep Charter School, a Title I middle school in Brooklyn, NY that serves a low income/high poverty district with an at-risk population. She has nurtured a team of 20 outstanding scholar-athletes who all share the same dream of success. Their dream is to win the national cheerleading champion title.

In only the second year of the program, the Unity Prep Cheer team has defeated their Northeast division rivals and qualified for the most prestigious cheerleading competition in the country: The UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on February 11th, 2017. We need your support in order to make it to nationals. 

Coach Melani spends nearly every moment training and caring for the team. Whether it may be driving them home because it is dark outside or getting them food;  she is a selfless leader who has brought together a remarkable team that has persevered through many challenges. This experience will inspire the youth of the team to believe in success as a result of dedication.  In order for the team to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity, we need your help!

Unity Prep Cheer needs your help to make their way to Nationals. Please support us with a donation to pay for travel expenses, accommodations, registrations, uniform items and meals.
