Asian American-led Unity March in Washington, DC

If there ever was a time for us to do something big and visible together, the time is now. We must both build and show our collective power as Asian Americans, in lock step with our Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Pacific Islander, LGBTQ+, Muslim, Sikh, Arab, and Jewish allies, to reimagine the future for our communities and break the cycle of violence together.

 

Unity March is an Asian American-led movement to advance socioeconomic and cultural equity, racial justice, and solidarity. Recognizing that no community is a monolith and that systemic biases have affected many of our communities throughout history, we are launching a slate of goals and programs to advance full participation in democracy, racial + economic justice, and cultural equity and media representation. This will culminate in our Unity March in Washington DC on June 25th to bring together the diverse Asian American diaspora with multicultural partners across all communities impacted by systemic oppression.

 

The event and GoFundMe is hosted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice - AAJC, Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote), Gold House, Indian American IMPACT, National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA), Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF), and in partnership with many other national and local Asian American and allied organizations.

Contributions will be received by APIAVote on behalf of the organizing hosts. The funds will support planning and carrying out the Unity March.
