University of Iowa Fiji Rivalry Run Fundraiser

Hi everyone! My name is Mason, and I am a senior here at Iowa and in the Mu Deuteron Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (or Fiji). I'm originally from Denver, Colorado, but I have been a die-hard hawkeye my whole life. Joining our fraternity Fiji freshman year in 2019 was the best thing I've done at Iowa for many reasons, but one of my favorites is because of philanthropy. Running in our annual Rivalry Run philanthropy every year since being here has been a fantastic experience, and I'm super grateful to spearhead the charge for our brothers this fall. If you haven't heard of it, it is a yearly Philanthropy each fall where our chapter seeks to raise money for the United Service Operations (USO) of Iowa. Our brothers spend the month before the Iowa v. Wisconsin football game (Nov. 12th) raising money and competing to break our goals. Then on the Friday before gameday, we run (yes, we still get our exercise in, mom!) a football from our campus in Iowa City halfway to the University of Wisconsin campus to finalize our fall Philanthropy! It is an excellent experience that we are excited to share with you; please help us reach our starting goal of $5,000 in any way you can. Thank you for your support and as always, GO HAWKS!
