The Capitals biggest fan, The Man In Red (Jim) had some complications over the holidays stemming from a blood infection that caused damage to his heart. He was admitted to Calvert Health Medical Center on New Years Eve. He was there for a few days awaiting test results before ultimatley being transferred to George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC. He had to have full open heart surgery on 1-9-2020 to repair a heart valve that was badly damaged from the blood infection. Surgery went very well and he is in ICU recovering as I type this.
The Man In Red has a long road to recovery which we all know will take some time. His wife, Lillie, has been by his side the entire time all while taking off of work and traveling back and forth to the hospital and home. We all know that this can take a burden on any family financially and that's where we come in to help.
Jim and Lillie are the last people to ever ask for help, but they are the first people to show up at ANY fundraiser for any cause. Let's help them as much as possible to ease his healing process and provide a little cushion for when Jim is discharged and finally at home healing.
Every little bit will help reach our goal.
Thank you and we love you.
