Unpaid Chophouse Employee Crisis Fund

Hello, my name is Collette Clinton. I’m a former employee of Chophouse Downtown located in downtown Cedar Rapids. About a week ago, myself and several other people I have grown to love and call my friends received a message in our work app called Sling at 10 pm saying Chophouse was closed effective immediately. “We can’t consciously keep operating knowing Chophouse can’t cover payroll”.. along with a lot of other things.

After closure, my former coworkers' checks started to bounce causing their bank accounts to go negative leaving them with no money to live on, pay bills, do training in another state for another job, pay for their mortgage, the list goes on and on. I myself, a mother of three young daughters find myself in a huge financial hardship, at the verge of losing everything I’ve built.

its now been 2 weeks since pay day . We’re still getting the run around .. I’m now almost $800 behind on my transportation and my children and I live in Fairfax where there is no bus system! Lights are due tomorrow. I tried making this for all of us but was told to make it for my family instead.. anything helps . Thank you so much and god bless you!
