North Texas Students Support Dallas Pets Alive!

Help support pet adoptions and no-kill shelters! We are a group of students at the University of North Texas raising funds for Dallas Pets Alive, a nonprofit committed to promoting and providing the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals! DPA focuses on rescuing pets at risk of euthanasia in Dallas-area shelters and providing them with foster care, veterinary treatment, and adoption opportunities. The funds raised will help expand DPA's rescue operations, focusing on animals in critical need of medical care and long-term foster homes.
Our target audience includes animal lovers, pet owners, and individuals passionate about reducing euthanasia rates in shelters, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Does this sound like you? Help us by contributing to our goal of raising $1,000! These funds can support life-saving treatments and care for dozens of pets facing imminent euthanasia.
Each year, over 40,000 pets enter Dallas-area shelters, and nearly half of them face the possibility of euthanasia due to overcrowding and lack of resources. Dallas Pets Alive is working tirelessly to reduce this number, but without critical funding, many pets in need are left behind. Studies show that over 10,000 pets are euthanized in Dallas
annually because they lack medical treatment or foster homes.
Our crowdfunding campaign seeks to bridge this gap by raising $1,000 to support Dallas Pets Alive in its mission to rescue at-risk animals. Specifically, the funds will cover medical care costs, such as surgeries, vaccinations, and medications, as well as essential supplies for foster homes. With your support, we can give these animals a second chance at life and reduce the euthanasia rate in Dallas shelters by focusing on animals that need immediate intervention.
The funding goal of $1,000 is set to cover a breakdown of costs, including:
$500 for medical treatments and surgeries for approximately 10 pets
$350 for food, bedding, and supplies for foster homes
$150 for transportation and adoption-related expenses
Every dollar raised will directly impact the life of a pet facing euthanasia, and DPA will regularly update donors on how their contributions are making a difference through success stories and progress reports. By supporting this campaign, donors are not only saving lives but helping to create a more humane, compassionate community in Dallas.
