untitled - a thesis film

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Annalise Woolford, and I am raising money to make my senior thesis film at The University of the Arts. Rather than consisting of one story, my thesis is made up of several short sketches starring the same actors in each one.

About the film
"A series of short sketches that take you on a fantastical journey through myths and legends."

My thesis film consists of three separate sketches, broken up by smaller bits in between. These sketches were inspired by shows like I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson and Portlandia, and will follow the same tone as these shows throughout the film.

The Real Housewives of Atlantis
This sketch will follow the layout of a typical real Housewives show, opening with the usual intro showing the housewife mermaids and their slogans. Attina is preparing her house for a clambake, trying to find the seating arrangement that holds the least amount of drama. The sisters are late but they come bearing gifts and gossip. Attina begins her toast, thanking everyone for coming to support her charity when Alana interrupts. The party goes awry as the sisters tell Alana that it’s not always about her, and a fight breaks out. The fight is interrupted by Alana farting, and the room goes silent.

The Dinner Party
Al the vampire is invited to his friends’ house for dinner, where he is served spaghetti and garlic bread. His attempts to not eat dinner are thwarted by his friends, and eventually, he must try the meal.

Everything, Everywhere, All at Mcdonalds
Jess finds herself stuck in an unending drive-thru. With the same employee in varying different characters and dispositions working every window, it seems as though she’s entering a new universe with each Guy. In the windows, she meets:
  • Regular Guy
  • Worn Out Guy
  • Chipper Guy
  • Robber Guy
  • Goblin Guy
  • Stern and Silent Guy
  • And many more!

About the crew
Hi! My name is Annalise, an aspiring filmmaker in my senior year at The University of the Arts. I fell in love with filmmaking in high school, where I learned about the technical side of film production. I used this knowledge to make short films with my family at pretty much every family gathering we had. This led me down the path of filmmaking in college, where I've found a group of friends who enjoy making fun little films just as much as I do.

Katie is a senior Film Design major at the University of the Arts. She has always liked design and film/tv so is pursuing a career where the two mix. She is super excited to work on this film and hopes that you are just as excited as her to see it.

How the money will be used
Even the smallest of films requires a big budget. All the money raised will go towards:
  • Food for cast and crew
  • Props, wardrobe, set decoration
  • Travel
  • Festival entries

This film cannot be made without financial support. Any and all donations will help me to reach my goal and complete this film, so please donate if you can! If you can't donate right now, you can still support the film by sharing!

Thank you!!
