Ambulances for Ukraine

Hello Friends,

On September 22, 2024, I will be joining a very special group of volunteers to drive a small convoy of ambulances from London to Ukraine filled with medical supplies , essential aid equipment and other humanitarian goods like clothes, blankets and even toys for displaced families and children. This is part of an on-going effort by the group, Medical LifeLines Ukraine (MLLU), which has delivered over 70 such aid filled ambulances, 21 generators and even an all terrain rescue crane to war affected areas of Ukraine.

Having been to Ukraine several times before the war began, it deeply saddens me to see the destruction across the country and the toll that the war is taking on the Ukrainian people. When I learned of this aid effort, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of . It affords me the opportunity to do something for the wonderful people I had the good fortune of getting to know in Ukraine over the past 30 years.

It costs over $25,000 on average to purchase, refurbish and fill each ambulance with these essential supplies. MLLU works directly with the Ukraine Ministry of Health and State Emergency Services to ensure that the ambulances and equipment get to the hospitals, NGO's and front line locations that need them the most. As civilian infrastructure including homes, hospitals and schools continue to be targeted, the need fo humanitarian aid and medical sup[plies and equipment is unrelenting.

I would be extremely grateful if you would support my fundraising campaign by contributing whatever you can. All funds raised will be combined with other donations to buy ambulances, support vehicles, and the medical and humanitarian supplies for future convoys. MLLU even provides food for a team of rescue dogs trained to find people in the rubble of bombed buildings!

Most importantly, there are no overhead costs. MLLU is comprised of dedicated volunteers. All funds raised go directly towards purchasing this essential equipment. Thanks in advance for your support!
