Karen Beatty's Medical Emergency

It was our first fishing trip in 2020 and Karen took off fishing, only to return five minutes later. She has never returned from fishing in five minutes; it's just not Karen. I knew then that something was amiss. She went to a doctor and was diagnosed with Graves' Disease (hyper thyroid) and referred to an endocrinologist in Helena, a town 90 miles from home. Her blood pressure was 220/110 which was scary for both of us. The doctors had to focus on getting her blood pressure under control before they could work on her thyroid. Karen was sent immediately to the ER and was in the ICU for 3 days. I couldn't be there with her as there was a no visitor policy due to Covid 19. She was prescribed meds for the Graves' and went home. Suddenly, new symptoms appeared. Was it Covid? She had 10 days with a fever and was tested for COVID 3 times. All were negative, but bloodwork showed a .5 white blood cell count (normal is 4.5 to 11). She was deathly sick. Her fever dropped for 3 days but returned on the 4th and I took her to the ER. She was immediately admitted to the hospital. It was 5 grueling days of bone marrow shots and antibiotics for numerous infections. With excellent care, she survived. Karen is now recovering from surgery to remove her thyroid. She has no energy and hasn't been able to work for three months. We're behind in our mortgage and struggling to make ends meet. We'd be very appreciative of any help.
