UoS - We Care Christmas Campaign 2022

This Christmas our We Care team are raising funds to support our care experienced and estranged students at our Sunderland and London campuses.

For many of these students, Christmas will be a time they will spend alone, perhaps without a card, gift, festive meal or companionship. For those students with children, it is a particularly difficult time trying to provide for their children, while making Christmas special.

The financial impact of the of the economy is difficult for us all, but particularly hard on these students without family support and in many instances, living alone whilst studying with us. Many are struggling with numerous factors in addition to financial challenges impacting on their overall mental health and wellbeing.

We want to support them and make Christmas 2022 a happy and memorable time.

This is your opportunity to remind these young people that they are valued and important to our student community.

A donation from you will help us to provide them with a personal gift, a toy for those with children, festive foods and warm clothing to see them through the Christmas period.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do and to remind us of this, Sir David Bell has kicked off our appeal with a special message to us all:
