Help Indy

Hi my name is Michelle and I am raising funds for my dog 8 year old German Shephard Indy. While she is usually a very active and friendly dog she became very ill Wednesday. We rushed her to the er. They originally believed it maybe cancer. After blood work, x-rays and an ultra sound she was diagnosed with Evans syndrome. Evan syndome is an auto immune disorder which can be life threatening as it causes anemia and the body to attack platelets. Her platelet count has dropped form 30,000 to 14,000. She will need multiple blood transfusions until she is stable and then she will be on immuno suppressant therapy for the rest of her life. We will be using the funds to help pay for the hospital bill and follow up. We would be grateful for any help no matter how small. We got Indy after my mother passed away from ALS or Lou Garrett's disease. My husband saw I was really depressed and suggested we get a German shepherd. While I usually prefer to get dogs from a rescue, since she was my 1st shepherd we decided to go to a breeder. Indy has helped me through the rough times. She is like my child and best friend rolled all in one. When I'm home she is my shadow. She is my girl.
