Upcoming Expenses for the Schirra Family

Donation protected
Hudson Chad Schirra, 19, of Lexington, South Carolina lost his life tragically on Friday, October 20, 2023. Born October 2, 2004, in Lexington, he was the son of Chad and Michelle Schirra and brother to Olivia Schirra.

Hudson lived his life to the fullest. He brought laughter and joy to everyone who knew him. His beautiful smile was contagious, his laugh infectious, and he lit up every room with his exuberant personality. He was looking forward to becoming an electrician, but God had bigger plans for him. Hudson loved others well, cared for the unseen, and was intentional in his relationships. He had a God given ability to connect with others in a real way.

Hudson’s friends and family meant the world to him. He was the biggest “hype-man” and will be spurring them on in all their endeavors. He was always the first to say “I love you,” and if he didn’t hear you say it back, he would say it louder, to be sure you heard him. He took pride in his Gilbert Indians, the Gamecocks, and his Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be cheering them on in heaven. His kindergarten teacher said of him years ago, “Hudson makes life fun.” One of his youngest cousins said, “Hudson was the ‘funnest’ guy in the family.” Hudson appreciated every person who poured into him whether it was on the baseball field, in church, or in his daily walk through life. Hudson’s favorite Bible verse was Deuteronomy 31:6 “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Hudson is survived by his grandparents, Richard and Georgeann Schirra, and Marie Guy; aunts and uncles, Justin and Brittany Schirra, Shane and Melissa Hanna, Rich and Tabitha Guy, Brad and Lindi Guy, Daniel and Kathrine Schirra, and Jennifer Lovette; and his cousins, Sydney Hanna, Jordan Schirra, Julia Schirra, Annamarie Hanna, Shane Hanna, Skyler Guy, Caden Guy, Noah Schirra, Avery Schirra, Finley Schirra, and Harper Guy.

Hudson had his grandparents, George and Lois Crevar, Richard Guy I, Richard Guy II, Beverly Guy, and cousin, Austin Guy welcome him into heaven.

A celebration of Hudson’s life will be held at Radius Church, 300 W. Main Street, Lexington, SC on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 4:30 PM; friends will be received at 3:00 PM. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
