Upgrade the structures at Maruthy Dog shelter

Hi, I am Sonia Warrier, a sixth grader at Tyee Middle school in Bellevue, WA, USA. I am a dog lover and was saddened to see so many stray dogs in India that are hungry and looking sad and weak. So I started to see how I can help, after some research I learnt about this wonderful institution - Maruthy Dog Shelter, based in Bengaluru India. This shelter houses stray dogs, feed them and take care of their health. I visited the shelter and met the wonderful trustee Ms.Aditi who runs the place. I got to play with several wonderful dogs and saw them being fed and taken care. I also learnt from Aditi how they run the place, the challenges they face. The most pressing need they had was a need to upgrade the housing structures they have for the dogs. I was excited about the idea of collecting funds from my family and friends and send it back to Maruthy dog shelter to help them with the upgrade project.
