Support for Alex's Future

On October 8, Alexandria (Alex), a 15-year-old high school freshman, lost her mom to metastatic breast cancer. Alex’s dad also passed away when she was two years old, and her stepdad is 72 and unfortunately unable to care for or provide for her. She has no other local immediate family members.

Alex is a talented dancer and cheerleader and is currently on the varsity cheer team for her high school. She is an absolute social butterfly who makes friends easily and brightens everyone’s day like a ray of sunshine. She is kind and an incredibly supportive and inclusive friend with a talent for uniting others from various backgrounds.

During this time of adversity, Alex has demonstrated strength and resilience and is handling one of the most challenging situations in life with grace.

Alex is now in the care of other cheer and dance families who are committed to honoring Alex and her mother’s wishes of keeping her here in Marin and at her current school. She is surrounded by a community of friends that will embrace her with love and ensure she has what she needs to heal and find stability.

On behalf of Alex’s family and friends, and with their permission, I am establishing this fundraiser to ensure she has the financial support needed and to assist the caregivers who have graciously stepped in to provide a home for her.
