Uplift Bohdan's Family from Crisis to Hope

Donation protected
Dear Friends,
As many of you may know, my parents had a close connection to Ukraine and it’s people through a business they started there in the 1990’s. One of my long time colleagues, Genya Dubrovska is also from Kiev and has been working tirelessly since the start of the war to help family and friends survive in Ukraine or to help move them to safer places. She approached me about a friend of hers, Bohdan and Inna who have raised a very beautiful family with three lovely children (Bohdan Kyiko, Inna Honchar (wife), Lelia Kyiko (daughter), Leonid and Ulas Kyiko (sons)). Because of constant shelling and air-raid warnings, the children were very scared, stressed, and couldn’t go to school. Bohdan had to switch jobs but the pay he was getting wasn’t enough to even cover the rental of a small studio apartment. When financial and psychological conditions became unbearable, the family decided to seek a way out. One of their relatives gave them contact information of a farmer here in the USA who wanted to help by providing a job and housing, so Bohdan and Inna decided to give it a try. Since Bohdan was Genya’s long-lasting friend from the college years, he asked her to assist with all required forms and documents needed for U4U program (United for Ukraine program created to help Ukrainian refugees to come to the USA and fled the war). After all the paperwork was done and travel authorization received for all members of Bohdan’s family, he resigned from his job and told the landlord that they would vacate the apartment. Soon after the prospective employer here in the US changed his mind and stopped replying to calls and texts. The family was left with no job, no money, no place to live, and no hopes for future…
The family is in desperate need of help to bring their hopes and plans back to life. We are trying to collect money for airplane tickets from Poland to Chicago ($4000 for 5 tickets) and couple months of apartment rental (around $5,000-6,000). Both Bohdan and Inna are very hard-working people and would do anything for the future of their children. In honor of my parents and to support my friend Genya, I am hoping you will join us in helping this amazing family from Ukraine to get to the USA and start a new chapter in their life.
