**Fundraiser to help send coach Nick to IWF World Masters Weightlifting Championship in FL**

My name is Nick Freedman. For the past five years I have been helping people in my community reach their fitness goals as a Crossfit coach. In November of 2021, I started to learn how to teach Olympic weightlifting. With the help of my weightlifting trainer, I excelled. Then in April 2022 at the age of 65, I competed for the first time in a Masters Olympic Weightlifting National Competition in Utah. I earned 3 gold medals and set two national records. I became a national champion. This achievement enabled me to qualify to compete in the IWF World Masters Weightlifting Championship that will take place in Orlando, Florida Dec 1 through Dec 10 2022.

I was born and raised in Johnstown PA. Even though it is a small town there many success stories here. I want to be one of those success stories and have a positive impact on my community. I have a competitive opportunity to medal in my age division of 65 to 69 years old at the upcoming world championship.
