Uplifting The Causey Family

Hello,

I am raising funds for my dearest friends Eric and Danielle Causey.

On Tuesday, 5/30/23, they suffered a fire in their garage. Thankfully, no one was physically hurt in the fire. However, the damage was quite severe. They lost everything in the garage, including the supplies for their two small businesses, All Out Party Events (owned by Eric and Danielle) and Curly Head Creations (owned by their 17-year-old daughter). Since the garage was attached to their home, there is damage to the wall that joined the garage and the house, there were holes placed in the walls to ensure that the fire was put completely out, and there appears to be electrical damage in the house. Additionally, there is smoke damage throughout the house. They are unable to stay in their home right now and it is unknown how long it will take for them to move back in.

Although we are extremely grateful that no one was physically hurt in this fire, the process of repairing the damage and getting back on track to normalcy is going to take time and funds. And to complicate matters further, their oldest daughter has just graduated from high school and is looking forward to being a first-generation college student after being a scholar athlete who was actively engaged in high school.

I have started this fundraiser to assist them with expenses that have come up as a result of this fire. My dear friends have suffered the loss of Danielle's mother, Ms. Janice, who was a huge part of their immediate family and very active in the kids' lives, and her grandmother, Dear, in the past three years. Each of them has had to adjust to the loss of Ms. Janice and now with this fire, they are being uprooted and will need to make even more physical, mental, and emotional adjustments adding to their traumas. Although money can not change what happened, it is my hope that these donations can help the Causeys with the immediate needs of shelter and food, and additional needs such as clothing and items for the children that may help during this transition period.
