Helen Livingston Guthrie went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at the age of 93. She was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama on September 22, 1926, and married her beloved husband, Lecil R. Guthrie, on July 11, 1942.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lecil and granddaughter Tina Autrey Norford. She is survived by her daughter Doris Rae Autrey and son Lecil Ernest Guthrie, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Helen dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed every opportunity to travel with them. Her love of family extended far beyond her immediate children and grandchildren – she had a way of making each one of us feel so special – and she will be greatly missed by countless sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Information on the graveside service will be provided when available.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made here in her memory to UpStream Ministries – which was founded by the late Jim Mills, a treasured nephew of Helen, with the sole purpose of carrying the Gospel message across the world.
