Educational final step

My name is Michael M. Foley and I was recently the victim of identity theft through an IRS Scam. I served our country in the US Army for more than thirty years and another ten years as a civilian contractor. I served in the Special Operations Command and traveled to Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Rwanda, Africa as a military advisor to name a few assignments. I was an Army Reserve officer so I didn't recieve the retirement benefits afforded to my full-time counter-parts.
I am a part-time adjunct professor at a local two-year college barely making enough to pay my bills. My dream is to get a PhD and teach full-time at a four-year university here or abroad.
I am trying to set a good example for my students by always attempting to improve myself through continued education. I have been working on the research and writing of my dissertation for a PhD in Multi-Cultural Communications through the University of South Africa for the last five years. I finished and submitted the paper and have been trying to raise the money for the fees for ten months. I had scrimped and saved all but $100 when the scam hit me. I am now back to a great big 'ZERO' due to these horrible thieves that pray on us "wealthy" Americans.
I truly feel I have a great deal to pass on to the next generation of university students through my education, military experiences around the world and other life experiences that give me a unique wealth of knowledge. I am seeking the funding to complete my pursuit of a PhD to provide a better life for myself, my four children, four grandsons and provide a better education to the next generation.
