Hello,
Last year on 7/21 I went into the hospital and my life changed forever. A week later on my 31st birthday I was diagnosed with two types of cancer. Ovarian and neuroendocrine cancer.
I went through six rounds of chemotherapy and had a full hysterectomy done in November of 2022. Everything seemed to be going well and the treatment was working but on the last CT scan in January they found a lymph node on the right side of my pelvis. It could be cancer or it could not and we decided to wait.
A few weeks ago, I started feeling excruciating pain on my hips making it hard to walk or do anything. When I called my oncologist they moved all my appointments up and after another CT scan they discovered my cancer had spread to both sides of my pelvis and I would need to under go chemotherapy again. I will have to do six rounds again and then take it from there.
This time has been way harder, since it spread to my hips. There are days I’m ok but most of the time I’m in so much pain I can’t walk, or even lay comfortably enough to go to sleep.
Last week, on 4/11/23, I was admitted to the hospital with a really bad infection and I have been fighting it since. I know there is coverage under FMLA but i am genuinely concerned about my job and how I will be able to survive.
I know the world is going through it but I would appreciate any help I could get. I’m not one to ask for monetary help but in this case my health is more important than my pride. Any help would be very much appreciated, even if it’s just a penny.
