Urban Jr Chef's building fund

Hi my name is Chef Tonie head chef and owner of Urban Elegance catering and more also head chef instructor for Urban Jr Chef's. In this last 2 years we have been able to teach the basics of culinary arts to the youth of Detroit ages 4-15. It has been my pleasure to teach these future Chef's culinary arts skills. We have went from 11 students graduating from our First class to having 32 students graduate from our 3rd spring semester and I am so proud of them. After they graduate they have the option to become 1 of my interns, where they help with events. A few students were recently able to be featured on Fox 2 news cooking segment. Because our classes are growing and it's so much to be taught we are looking to build Detroits First commercial kitchen studio for culinary studies. With this fully stocked kitchen studio the chefs will be able to learn ,practice and grow in the culinary field. This studio will give our youth a safe place to learn and grow with a most definitely needed skill. We are asking the city for help if we can get everyone to send $1 we can meet our goal to purchase and build this commercial kitchen studio for our future Chef's every dime counts
