Jeff needs us

UPDATE: Jeff is home but still unable to work. He has monthly and medical bills piling up. Anything that we can do will help.
On December 6th, 2023 Jeff was admitted to Cloquet Memorial Hospital for chest pains where he suffered two cardiac arrests and needed to be revived both time. Once he was stabilized he was transferred to St. Luke's in Duluth to undergo surgery to have a stent put in. Jeff was placed on a vent and later a trach. Majority of the time he remains sedated. However, he's occasionally taken off of sedation to do neurological testing to see if he has suffered any brain damage. Jeff is also suffering from severe pneumonia due to aspirating when he coded. Doctor's are estimating that Jeff will remain in the hospital until April 2024.
Prior to this, Jeff was out on workman's comp for nearly a year, having had two shoulder surgeries which he was trying to recover from.
Currently Jeff and his family are behind $8,000 on their mortgage and finding it hard to provided food for the family with only Angel working. Jeff and Angel have lived together with their children for 18 years.
At the moment, Jeff's insurance is covering all of his medical bills. It's currently the mortgage and cost of living that have become overwhelming. Angel was having a difficult time making ends meet while Jeff was recovering from shoulder surgery and not this... They are on the verge of losing their home.
It is my hope that as a community we can come together to help support Jeff and Angel and to help them keep their family home.
