Hi, my name is Damali Ferruzola.

I am creating this GO Fund Me for my "Sistar" Gloria Cooley. Gloria is a native of Providence, Rhode Island, but has lived in Atlanta for over 20 years, relocating to Dallas, Texas earlier this year. Gloria is a kind, beautiful soul, an amazing mother, grandmother and friend, who has dedicated her life to helping people physically, mentally and spiritually, she is a gentle spirit with a heart of gold, always lending a listening ear... she exudes positivity, grace and beauty and loves unconditionally...to know her is to love her.

Gloria has worked for the Shepard Center in Atlanta for 18 years, sits on the Board of Coaches and Practitioners as a Hypnotherapist, Reiki and NLP Practitioner and is a Life and Success Coach.

In April, 2020 Gloria was diagnosed with "Leiomysarcoma" a rare type of cancer that grows in the smooth muscles inside the hollow organs of the body, including the intestines, stomach, bladder, blood vessels and in women, the uterus; she had surgery to remove the tumor in 2020 and recieved a clean bill of health and remained in remission until March of 2023.

She recently had surgery to remove a large tumor from her abdomen, during surgery, doctors discovered that the cancer had spread to other organs, including her colon, stomach and ovaries.... Gloria is currently receiving chemotherapy and has been experiencing severe dehydration, nausea and fatigue, making it impossible for her to maintain employment.

Update: This past week, Gloria was readmitted to the hospital after developing an infection and a perforated bowel.

Update: 7/16/23 Gloria has been released from the hospital and is home resting.... please keep her in your thoughts and prayers

Gloria is a very proud woman and it is sometimes difficult for her to reach out to others for assistance in her time of need, so, I am asking for her, that "we" rally around her and cover her in prayer, love and support during this very difficult time.

Due to her health crisis, Gloria is facing financial hardship and needs our help. I am asking that if you feel moved to do so please donate (any amount is appreciated) to her fund so that our dear friend can redirect her focus on healing.
