Aid for Andre Sime’s recovery, we still need assistance
Donation protected
I don’t even know where to begin. I hope that no one ever feels this helpless in their lives. I am placed in a position where I truly need help. My father, Andre, has suffered a medical emergency in the Dominican Republic. He is there visiting and fell ill with a virus. Post-virus, he has suffered paralysis, and it is becoming progressively worse. Anyone that knows my father knows he’s a humble man. He has worked all his life to provide for his family. This man wouldn’t hurt a fly and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. My brother Cristian and I are placed in a position where we need to seek financial assistance aside from loans, etc. The doctors in Santiago, DR, are trying their best to get him stable, and an air ambulance/medical evacuation can range from $38,000 to $100,000. The embassy basically said we have to foot the bill. We are not wealthy by any means and will try our best to come up with any money possible, but this is not counting medical fees, bills, travel, etc. As an RN, having worked in the ICU, I know the amount of care that is necessary in order to keep a patient alive, and it comes with great costs. I am humbled by the attention given to my father, and pray that he can be stabilized before it’s too late.
Any donation of any value is appreciated. If you cannot assist, please keep our loving father in your prayers or share our post.
Thank you, and God bless.
