Urgent Aid for David's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hello everyone. Some of you may have read the article on MorristownGreen about a high school student who was attacked at the train station. That student was my nephew David. On January 12, 2025 at 12:20pm David was awaiting the 12:24pm train to NYC, when he unexpectedly received a brutal blow to the back of his head. He was immediatley knocked unconscious and fell face down onto the concrete. He suffered a concussion, multiple head fractures, including fractures to his jaw and orbital bones, as well as tears to his face requiring several stitches. This has been a very traumatic experience for David and our entire family. The first few hours after the attack were very scary as David was in and out of consciousness, and we did not know how bad the damage would be. This event has led to David requiring several procedures. Despite insurance the medical bills have been piling up and are unfortunately adding a much greater burden on top of what he and his family have already suffered. Due to the urgency and unexpected manner of the situation, his family did not have time to shop around for in network providers and services and so the cost of surgeons, specialists, emergency room services and providers, as well as many other hospital and medical bills most of whom were out of network has already become unbearable. This has been a very unfair situation for David and his family that they did not deserve. Those of you who know David, know him as a fun, and friendly guy who is always up for going to the city. He is a senior in high school aspiring to become an architect. His dreams are set on working in NYC and he was well on his way to doing just that. He was accepted to all of the programs that he applied for and was looking forward to spending the beginning of the year touring campuses before making his final decision. All of that has been put on pause as David was forced to miss a lot of school as well as campus tours. Now in addition to navigating the high cost of a college education, David’s family has been forced to endure the heavy burden of these medical bills that continue to pile up.
I would really like to help with some of the burden but it is not something I can do alone. Please do not hesitate to help in any way that you can. Please also share so that others can have the opportunity to help.
