Urgent Aid for IRC Workers Unite Member Detained by ICE

Hi there! We are International Rescue Committee Workers Unite Texas, OPEIU Local 277. Every day, we provide refugees in Texas critical medical, housing and legal services. Many of us come from the same communities we now serve.

One of our beloved coworkers and union members has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and abruptly ripped away from their home, family, livelihood and community. Since they came to this country, our coworker has spent their life in Texas helping people in Texas find security and stability in our community. Now, we urgently need your help.

As a union, we believe an injury to one is an injury to all. We are calling on our fellow union members and community allies to stand in solidarity with our union sibling by donating to support the cost of legal representation for our coworker and union sibling so that we can bring them home to their family.
