Urgent Aid for WNC Communities Affected by Helene

Donation protected
Asheville and Western North Carolina were absolutely destroyed by Hurricane Helene last week. The Red Cross has deemed this a "category 7 disaster," which is the highest that they can give.

I'm an Asheville native, mental health therapist, business owner, and human, who is living through the trauma of Hurricane Helene, and continues to watch the destruction that it has left behind.

People have lost their homes, their loved ones, their businesses, their communities, and their sense of safety and security.

Entire communities and towns were wiped off of the map in the blink of an eye. People lost their livelihoods in a matter of seconds.

Due to the rural nature of the area, and the abysmal road conditions, supplies have been hard to receive, as have evacuation attempts.

People are living without gas, power, cellular data, and water. Water is not expected to be back in homes for a matter of months, as all of the infrastructure was destroyed.

We were some of the lucky ones who were able to get out. There are thousands of people who were not so lucky, and are stuck in the devastation that was left behind.

People need medical supplies, water, diapers, gas, food, hygiene items, baby formula, and so much more.

These donations will all go to local non profits who are helping with supply runs, and directly to people in need. Some of these people do not have $$ for gas, for food, for water, for pet supplies, etc.

I have a list of resources that I'm continuing to add to, and am sharing as much information as I can. Resources

It is going to take years to rebuild Western North Carolina and it is going to change the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

Please donate what you can. Anything helps.

I will be donating 100% of the money to local non profits like BeLoved Asheville, The Pansy Project, as well as people who are WNC residents, who have all been impacted by Helene.

Once the money transfers to my account, I will begin sending money via PayPal, Zelle, Cashapp, etc to those in need.

I'll make daily posts about where the $$ is going and who it's helping.

As a resident of WNC, I understand how absolutely devastating this experience has been and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
