Urgent Appeal: evacuating my daughter & her family from Gaza

My name is Amna and my heart is breaking amidst the devastation engulfing Gaza. My daughter, her husband and 4 children are trapped in a nightmare beyond comprehension.

Their family home in Gaza was bombed and they are now homeless living in a tent in Rafah after moving from temporary shelter in Khan Younis. They are all in terrible shock and facing the threat of more attacks, lack of resources and illness with a scarcity of medication.

The daily reality for them is a relentless struggle for survival. As you're reading this they endure sleepless nights punctuated by the deafening roar of airstrikes. With every passing moment their safety hangs by a thread and the desperate urgency consumes me to bring them to safety. My grandchildren are the joy of my life and they deserve a chance at a peaceful future, away from constant fear.

My grandchildren were all thriving at school and like all children hoping and dreaming of their future. Yara, the youngest is 10 years old playful with dreams of becoming an interior designer. Ali is 15 always wanting to care for others with dreams of starting a community centre. Zeina is a compassionate 17 year old with dreams of working in media and politics. Kareem the eldest is 19 recently finished school and wanting to follow in his mother’s footsteps to work in media. Unfortunately, Kareem's dreams and aspirations had to be put on hold as he is currently putting his life in danger trying to help his family make ends meet.
