Urgent appeal - Winter support for the rescue

We urgently need your help!!!

This winter we sadly have to say goodbye to our all terain vehicle (ATV), affectionately known as Hamish, who must go into retirement as he cant get across our land anymore.

This leaves a huge hole in our infrastructure, and our day to day support of the rescue, meaning our ability to transport food, supplies, water and goods around our 4 acre rescue has to be done by hand by us and our volunteers. We are already stretched out in all that we do and this will have a massive impact on our winter and going forward.

Hamish

Traditionally we use Hamish most of the daylight hours to move everything from the 1 Ton of 20kg sacks of food per fortnight, to straw and bedding for our wonderful flocks.

Without it we are presented with a massive challenge, and conditions this time of year only get harder with the rain and poorer ground conditions.

So we are asking for your help.......We know its a lot to ask but anything, even a few pounds to help towards this vital tool / machinary would be an amazing gift to help all our wonderful residents.

Every single penny will go directly into buying a second hand ATV, and if we were lucky enough to have anything left over it will go directly back into the rescue for winter support for aspects such as water supply, additional bedding and food to keep our flocks happy and safe.

Thank you so much from all of us and especially the ducks <3
