Urgent Appeal- Gaza: Help evacuate my family.

I am Karem Alkahlout, I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart, and tears flowing in fear and despair. My sole glimmer of hope for survival in this war rests on you, as I strive to protect my little sisters, father, mother, and brothers.

On the first day of the war, with my father in Egypt, the responsibility for the entire family fell on my shoulders. Seeing the fear in my little siblings' eyes and their trembling hands, I made the immediate decision to evacuate. Witnessing their distress was unbearable. We initially sought refuge at my married sister's house, believing it would be safer due to its proximity to a hospital – a presumption that proved wrong.

Surprisingly, my sister's house became one of the least safe places in Gaza. Filled with panic and fear, we had to evacuate once again. Now, we find ourselves in an abandoned house in Deir Al Blah, grappling with unsanitary conditions, struggling for water and food, and cut off from the outside world. Every day, I undertake a long journey to secure necessities, walking a considerable distance.

Adding to the difficulties, I faced the painful decision of sending my pregnant wife to Russia with her family in the midst of the war. Being separated from her during this crucial time is incredibly tough. I had always dreamed of experiencing every moment of her pregnancy, but regrettably, I had to prioritize her and the baby’s safety.

You probably know about what's happening here. I'm keeping it short, but the war is really getting to me. Every day feels like the end in Gaza, and I really hate that feeling, also Our house is where the army is, and we don't know what happened to it, but it might be damaged or destroyed.

Due to the high costs of permits to cross borders, I kindly ask for your donation to help secure our evacuation. Each permit, at around $5000, is needed for my family of nine. Assist me in reuniting with my wife to share the joy of meeting our child. Also, Your support is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of my family by helping us secure a secure and stable place to call home.
