Restoring Life for Waseem’s Family: Rising Again
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Waseem Abusafi. I am 34 years old and live in Gaza. I am a dedicated father to a beautiful 3-year-old child named Qais. My wife, Amal Nabeel, is 27 years old.
Our family has poured our hearts and souls into building a better future for ourselves and our community. I have worked in accounting and managed accounts for several companies in Gaza City.
But tragedy struck when the war began. The recent conflict and damage to our residential area and infrastructure left us not only homeless and without means to support ourselves but also took the lives of my great-aunt and great-uncle, their spouses, their children, and their innocent grandchildren in an airstrike. It is a loss no family should have to endure.
While we were forced to evacuate Gaza City, our family found itself torn apart in a desperate search for safety. We have been forced to relocate multiple times, hoping to find refuge from the violence each time.
Our hearts are broken with grief, and we have witnessed death firsthand and endured unimaginable loss. Now, with our world turned upside down, we are clinging tightly to what little remains, determined to protect our child from further harm.
We humbly ask for your support to help us evacuate to safety in Egypt and rebuild a better life in the aftermath of this devastating tragedy.
Please note that travel costs to Egypt are very high, and coordinating entry through the border is $5000 per adult and $2500 per child. We cannot afford these exorbitant amounts.
Every contribution, no matter how large or small, will make a significant difference in helping us overcome this crisis and start anew. We will never forget your kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Updated on 12/23/2024 :
After 445 days, we still cling to the challenge despite the pain, difficult circumstances, destruction and effort we go through every day, and we lose friends one after the other, the last of whom was my friend Alaa, whom we lost with his children while he was playing music in his tent. We are still going through difficult times on the face of the water, no clean drinking water, no electricity or complete electricity, and even the rainwater toilet is in need. We are in a tent in the south of Gaza that is not six meters wide. It does not prefer to help our child Qais psychologically, as he sees the difficult scenes, and we are trying to give him some of the non-existent education. We hope to end this nightmare and live in peace and celebrate the New Year like the rest of the children. Do not be stingy in supporting us and trying to help us with the least bit so that we can obtain the necessities of life for me, my wife and my
child. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
